Maradona 1986

Mi ricordo i campionati mondiali dell’86.

Maradona era come James Brown.

Nessuno balla come James Brown.

Nessuno gioca come Maradona.

I remember the world cup in 1986. I remember that when Maradona played the ball we stayed in silence and we did not yell at him, because ,even if we were not Napoli supporters, we knew that he was something different: a champion that deserved respect.

I don’t know anything about soccer. I don’t know the teams or the players. When I was a young boy I spent my sundays on a skateboard or playing on guitars rather than watching football games.

Maradona was not only football.

Maradona was like James Brown.

No one dances like James Brown.

No one plays like Maradona.
