What do you expect from a Xmas playlist? I can say that I’d love to find some tunes that bring me back to a warm place of my memories. It doesn’t need to be a real place. Christmas time are not always nice and easy days for everyone. Family ties can be stronger or weaker when you have a Mr/Mrs Scrooge around. The big issue is that Scrooge is not going to redeem and reborn as a lovely person on the morning of 25th of December.
I have always been lucky to have so many people around me during Xmas time. We were, and are, a big family made of friends in love with music. Whatever else was around it was only an additive: lovers, parties, food, drinks, drugs. We believed in music and we followed the sounds and the songs that made us comfortable. My number one sounds for Xmas belongs to the ‘70s, to the soul music and something from the eighties, to the crooners and to my nineties. I know that they are lots of different sounds together but you will enjoy my playlist. Have your favorite drink, call someone you miss, smile and Merry Christmas.
Cosa ti aspetti da una playlist di Natale? Mi piacerebbe trovare pezzi che mi portano indietro in un posto caldo nei miei ricordi, e non è necessario che sia un luogo reale. Natale non è sempre un periodo semplice e di festa. I legami familiari diventano più forti ma anche più deboli quando hai intorno un signore o signora Scrooge. Il punto è che Scrooge non sempre diventa una persona buona e simpatica al mattino del 25 dicembre.
Sono sempre stato fortunato ad avere sempre tanta gente intorno durante il periodo natalizio. Eravamo, e siamo ancora, una grande famiglia fatta di amici innamorati della musica. Qualsiasi cosa fosse intorno era comunque un additivo: amori, feste, alcol, cibo, droghe. Credevamo nella musica e seguivamo i suoni e le canzoni che ci mettevano a nostro agio. I miei suoni preferiti per Natale sono quelli degli anni ’70, un po’ di soul, sicuramente qualcosa di ‘80s, i crooner e i miei anni ’90. Sono un sacco di sonorità diverse ma vi piaceranno. Metti la playlist in rotazione, prepara il tuo drink preferito, telefona a qualcuno che ti manca e infine sorridi. Buon Natale
